On the 7th July 2011 Kitson Park was judged by the Royal Horticultural Society for the “It’s your neighbourhood award”.

Eleven of Torbay’s cleanest beaches have been included in the Marine Conservation Society’s (MCS) 2011 Good Beach Guide after water quality tests showed no signs of sewage contamination.
The guide, published yesterday, awards the beaches the ‘MCS Recommended’ seal of approval which designates the bathing water as of the highest quality in the UK.
