This month is officially the THHN’s busiest month on record for free holidays being awarded to families with terminally/seriously ill and recently bereaved children. We have had 9 holidays put up for offer from our members, 7 of which have been filled! We have had our first family reffered from Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital, so big thanks to Geraldine and her support staff!
We are in great need of restaurants and eateries to offer their services to the THHN, even if they were to offer just one free meal a year to a family this would be a huge help. The meals would be for families staying in self catering accommodation, they do have food hampers donated for their stays but a nice meal out would make their holidays that little bit more less stressful and more memorable. Giving families memories to treasure is what the THHN is all about as many of the families who visit will have some very dark times laying ahead.
Our new THHN members plaques are now in circulation and can be seen popping up on member businesses exterior walls all across the bay, there will be a story running soon in the Herald Express covering this.
Just time to say another couple of big thank you’s to Sharon Waring of Babbacombe Theatre and Matt Rogan of Heart FM who have been advising me with the planning of the THHN ball, they have both been a huge help to me and could not do with out them!!! Thanks guy’s!!!
