Brixham Beaches

Breakwater Beach

Breakwater is a small shingle beach adjacent to picturesque Brixham harbour. It has easy disabled access with adequate parking at the back of the beach, close to the main facilities associated with a large town resort. There is a good level of amenities, including a beach shop and nice café/restaurant with superb views across the bay. Access is from the main road to Berry Head, and also by an easy level walk around the harbour side from the town centre. There is a local bus service nearby, Bus no.17.  There are disabled ramps to the promenade and beach.

Curston Cove

The beautiful little shingle beach of Churston is an idyllic spot surrounded by cliffs and wooded hillsides.  The steep path that leads down to the beach passes through mature woodland and opens out to reveal a small cove, with spectacular scenery. Nearest Town is Brixham.  Churston Cove can be reached by Bus no. 17 ( Devon cottage). Access along part of the coastal path from the car park area and then down a steep footpath to the beach.

Fishcombe Cove

The beautiful little shingle beach of Fishcombe is an idyllic spot surrounded by cliffs and wooded hillsides.  The steep path that leads down to the beach passes through mature woodland and opens out to reveal a small cove, with spectacular scenery. Nearest Town is Brixham.  Fishcombe can be reached by Bus no. 17 ( Devon cottage). Access is down a steep footpath from the car park area to the café and beach or via the steps from Battery Gardens.

Shoalstone Beach & Pool

A small shingle and rocky beach adjacent to Brixham’s outdoor seawater swimming pool. There is easy access to the promenade surrounding the beach and pool, with a cafe and superb views across the bay. Access is from the main road to Berry Head. There is a local bus service nearby, Bus no.17.

Brixham’s outdoor seawater swimming pool is one of only a few left in the country, with large open areas to relax in and enjoy the sun.  There is also a small shingle beach adjacent to the pool. There is easy access with adequate parking at the back of the pool and a nice café with superb views across the bay.

St Mary’s Bay

St Mary’s Bay is a delightful secluded sandy beach with interesting rock formations and surrounding cliffs.  It is operated by Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust.  Access to St Mary’s may be difficult but if you persevere you will find a delightful sandy stretch of beach at the bottom of the cliffs.  The coastal path above the beach offers panoramic views of the area. Nearest town is Brixham. Bus No.17 St Mary’s Holiday camp. Car park is for Sharkham Point on St Mary’s Road.
